António Varela Cid

António Varela Cid is the Operations and Systems Specialist at the Simon Institute for Longterm Governance (SI), where he supports the organization’s operational backbone.

Before joining SI, António worked as a Project and Community Coordinator at the Global Impact Coalition, spanning operations, business development, and communications. He previously worked as a Project Manager at the Dutch Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Lisbon, and earlier supported operations at the UN International Law Commission.

António holds a master’s degree in International Relations (Global Political Economy) from Leiden University, a postgraduate in Strategy and Security from NOVA FCSH, and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from ISCSP – University of Lisbon.
