Gaëtan Bidaud

Operations Manager

Gaëtan Bidaud is the Operations Manager at the Simon Institute for Longterm Governance (SI), overseeing the organization’s finances, administration, and operational infrastructure to ensure seamless organizational functioning.

Before joining SI, Gaëtan served as a Finance & Program Manager at Plan International, held finance and program management roles at the peace and human rights organization Eirene Suisse, worked as an Economic Adviser to non-profits in Uganda, and taught mathematics, economics, and law to high school students across multiple Swiss schools. In addition to his full-time roles, he currently serves as Finance Manager at Omoana, a Swiss NGO supporting youth development programs in Uganda and Iraq, and founded Zodongo Suisse to support local organisations in Uganda and Peru.

Gaëtan holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy and a master’s degree in Public Economics and Public Finance, both from the University of Fribourg, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Global Cooperation and Sustainable Development from the ETH Zürich.
