Kevin Kohler
Kevin Kohler is a Senior Tech Policy Specialist at the Simon Institute for Longterm Governance (SI), leading the organization’s research on international technology policy and AI governance.
Prior to joining SI, Kevin worked as an Insights Specialist for the Global Risks team at the World Economic Forum, where he co-authored the 2024 Global Risks Report and managed the Global Future Council on Complex Risks. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as a Senior Researcher at the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich, conducting research on technology policy, disaster risk management, and strategic foresight. Kevin is also a policy fellow with the Swiss think tank foraus; a Roots of Progress blog-building fellow, where he writes the AI governance blog ‘Machinocene’; and is currently drafting a book on societal adaptation to advanced AI.
Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen.
