Kevin Kohler

As our Senior Tech Policy Specialist, Kevin spearheads our research and program work on technology policy, focusing on AI’s implications for global governance.

Prior to joining SI, Kevin worked as an Insights Specialist for the Global Risks team of the World Economic Forum, where he co-authored the Global Risks Report 2024 and managed the Global Future Council on Complex Risks. From 2019 to 2022 Kevin worked as a Senior Researcher at the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich, conducting policy-oriented research on technology policy, disaster risk management and strategic foresight. Kevin is a policy fellow with the Swiss think tank Foraus and a Roots of Progress blog-building fellow, writing a personal blog on AI governance titled “Machinocene”, and drafting a book on societal adaptation to advanced AI.

Kevin holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen.
