Jan Pieter (JP) Snoeij is a Senior AI Policy Specialist at the Simon Institute for Longterm Governance (SI), executing the organization\u2019s diplomatic strategy on AI governance.<\/span><\/p>\n

His interest in understanding and improving subjective conscious experience has led to a diverse background, spanning work in international development on migration and education across West Africa and South America. He also co-founded Effective Altruism Switzerland and contributed to foundational research on policy-making and long-term governance that led to the creation of SI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
