Kevin Kohler is a Senior Tech Policy Specialist at the Simon Institute for Longterm Governance (SI), leading the organization\u2019s research on international technology policy and AI governance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to joining SI, Kevin worked as an Insights Specialist for the Global Risks team at the World Economic Forum, where he co-authored the 2024 Global Risks Report and managed the Global Future Council on Complex Risks. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as a Senior Researcher at the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich, conducting research on technology policy, disaster risk management, and strategic foresight. Kevin is also a policy fellow with the Swiss think tank foraus<\/i><\/a>; a Roots of Progress<\/a> blog-building fellow, where he writes the AI governance blog ‘Machinocene’<\/a>; and is currently drafting a book on societal adaptation to advanced AI.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in International Affairs from the University of St.
