What this session is about
Open AI models promise wider access, stronger digital sovereignty, and faster innovation. They also raise hard questions about safety, security, and who is accountable when something goes wrong. This interactive session, on the sidelines of the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance, brings governments, industry, and civil society together to discuss how open AI models can be developed and shared responsibly and for wide benefit.
Questions for discussion
- What drives government, industry, and civil society adoption of open AI models?
- How can open AI model development reflect the needs of communities across countries?

- How can multistakeholder cooperation support responsible diffusion, and what role can the Global Dialogue play?

Yes, lunch will be provided at the venue between 12:15 and 12:30, prior to the session start time. - Do I need to register for the event?
No, advanced registration is not required for this event. - How do I get to the session venue from Palexpo (the Global Dialogue venue)?
The Hilton Hotel building is next to the Palexpo Conference Center and is accessible on foot. Instead, take the covered pathway from Palexpo at level -1 through Car Park 5, following the signs directing you to the Hilton. - What language will the event be in?
The event will be held in English, and there will be no live translation.
